Kit Taylor
KIT TAYLOR is a 12x award-winning singer/songwriter, pianist x producer based in both Portland, OR and Nashville, TN, USA. He was accepted into the prestigious Berklee University in Boston, MA. Kit has worked with talent from around the globe, including multi-platinum UK pop group BBMAK, and R&B sensation and college classmate Jarrod Lawson (Entertainment Weekly).
Aside from his work as a solo pianist, Kit has a band that takes inspiration from Oregon-based but internationally known Pink Martini. With Kit at the helm, every show features a rotating group of stellar musicians, most often including Sarah Lodge-Haws and/or Amber Schroeder on vocals, Willie Matheis on sax, and for larger shows Damian Erskine (bass) and Tyrone Hendrix (drums).
The group plays an eclectic mix of Kit’s pop/soul originals, plus covers including Sinatra, Sting, Phil Collins, Lionel Richie, Taylor Swift and countless others.

One of two songs that won a major award in the 20th annual Great American Song Contest. Kit became the first songwriter in the history of the contest to win in two separate categories.
Co-written with platinum-selling songwriter Marv Ross, Kit’s heart-wrenching prose on the act of having to say goodbye has won awards in both the Great American Song Contest and Mid-Atlantic Song Contest.
